Hair loss is common problem that everyone faces at one point. It is said that hair is your health barometer and if you’re seeing more of it on your pillow or in the shower, there’s no need to panic. Losing about 100 hairs on a daily basis is a common occurrence. It happens when you comb your hair or even when you just do nothing. The new ones grow and replace them.

Excessive hair loss is attributed to a number of reasons - genetics, illness, medications, or even a poor diet. It can be extremely disturbing and embarrassing.

So here I am to show you how to cure hair fall by simple HOME REMEDIES and also PREVENTION to avoid hair fall. But always remember when in doubt, see a doctor.

 

HOME REMEDIES:


1. Stop hair fall with Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera plays a crucial role in balancing the pH levels of the scalp and hair. It penetrates deep into the scalp and hair, thereby strengthening the roots and preventing hair fall.

Take Aloe Vera Gel and massage it into the scalp for 5 - 10 minutes and leave it for few hours and then wash your hair as normal. Repeat the process every time before washing your hair.

 

2. Indian gooseberry or Amla

Gooseberry is rich in vitamin C, it can help to maintain a healthy scalp and it also promotes hair growth.

Take a few Indian gooseberries, discard the seeds and grind the flesh to make a pulp and massage your scalp with this mixture. Keep this on for an hour and wash off with cool water. Do this 2 -3 times a week.

 

3. Yogurt or Curd

Curd is one of the most effective home remedies for hair loss. It can also help to get soft, smooth hair and acts as a natural conditioner for hair. It contains vitamin B5 and proteins that are extremely beneficial for hair.

Apply curd directly onto the scalp and hair and leave it for about 30 minutes and then wash your hair as normal. Repeat the process 2 times a week to see effective results.

 

4. Hot oil massage

Hot oil massage can be very effective to control hair loss as it stimulates blood flow to the scalp. You can use any oil that is rich in Vitamin E. Coconut oil, almond oil, Castor oil, mustard oil, olive oil and jojoba oil are the best options in your hand.

Massage your scalp with any of these oil for 10 - 15 minutes atleast twice a week.

 

5. Fenugreek Seeds

It is one of the most effective and oldest home remedies to control hair loss. Fenugreek seeds contain nicotinic acid and proteins that strengthen the hair shafts and boosts hair growth.

Soak the fenugreek seeds in water overnight and grind it in the next morning to make a fine paste. Apply this fenugreek seed paste to the scalp and hairs and let it set for 30 minutes to one hour, covering your hairs with a shower cap so that it does not get dry. Then wash your hair as normal. Follow this process of treatment at least twice a week for a month to see effective results.

 

6. Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar stimulates better blood circulation to the hair follicles. It is naturally high in acetic acid and has a pH level which is close to that of human hair.

Mix one part of apple cider vinegar in one part of water. Take this mixture in a spray bottle and spray onto your scalp and hairs. Massage gently and leave on for 5 minutes before washing off with a mild shampoo. For better results make use of this treatment at least twice a week.

 

7. Hibiscus

Hibiscus contains vitamin C, phosphorous, and riboflavin, the essential nutrients for smooth and strong hair. The flower also contributes to toxin elimination and promotes circulation, thereby stimulating hair growth.

Crush a few hibiscus flowers or take hibiscus powder and mix with coconut oil to make a fine paste. Apply this on your scalp and hair and keep on for a few hours. Then wash your hair as normal. Repeat the treatment 2 times a week until you see the results.

 

8. Coconut Milk

Coconut milk is rich in vitamin E and fats that help to moisturize your hair and keep it healthy. The milk is rich in potassium, proteins, essential fats and minerals such as potassium  and another vital ingredient for hair growth.

Apply the coconut milk directly to the scalp and hair ends and cover your hair with a towel or a shower cap. Leave it on for 30 minutes to 1 hour and shampoo your hair as normal.

 

HOW TO PREVENT HAIR FALL:


1. Do Not rub wet hair vigorously

Rubbing wet hair vigorously will lead to hair breakage and hair fall as the hair shaft is very weak when hair is wet.

 

2. Avoid brushing wet hair

Brushing wet hair will lead to hair fall as hair shaft is weak when it is wet and pulling the hair with a brush will add to your hair fall. If needed use Wide Tooth comb to detangle your hair.

 

3. Avoid Heat

Heat in any form is bad for hair. Hot water, hair dryers and hair styling tools dry out the hair and weakens the hair follicles. Limit their usage.

 

4. Don’t tie your hair tightly

Hairstyles such as wearing tight ponytails, pigtails or braids on a daily basis, using elastics and rubber bands to pull back hair tightly, can cause hair fall as it puts pressure on the roots and weakens the hair roots.

 

5. Do Not use too many hair products

Using too many hair products will lead to product build-up on the scalp. It will block the nutrients to go into the hair follicles and will cause hair fall.

 

6. Use Products specifically made for Hair fall

Using hair products which are specifically made to control hair fall will directly address the hair fall problem.

 

7. Do Not stress.
