Summer Skin Care Hacks

1. Sooth Sunburn With Aloe Vera

Freeze aloe vera gel in ice cube tray and rub the aloe ice cube on the affected area and it will give instant relief from sunburn.

2. Reduce Puffiness of Eyes

Reduce the puffiness of your eyes by placing cool green tea bags under your eyes. Boil some water, soak the tea bags, remove it from water and refrigerate for some time. Now gently press the tea bags under your eyes for as long as you can. This will hydrate your skin and reduce puffiness.

3. Shrink the Open Pores

Shrink the open pores by rubbing ice on the affected area for 30 seconds, every time after washing your face.

4. Reduce Facial Redness or Swelling

A quick and natural way to reduce redness in your face is to use Rose Water as a toner. Rose water hydrates your skin and balances the PH level of the skin which will reduce the redness and swelling.

5. Get Rid of Oily Skin

Get rid of oily skin by applying translucent or compact powder right after you apply the moisturiser. This will help in preventing your skin from becoming oily. If you have extremely oily skin a good idea is to always carry bloating sheet as a quick fix.

6. Get Rid of Skin Blemishes

Reduce the skin blemishes by treating it with a little lemon juice every day until it lightens up. Make sure not to step out in sun after doing this remedy, so the best time to do is at night before bed.

7. Prevent your Makeup from Melting

BB creams and CC creams are best for summers. Avoid wearing heavy foundation as it tends to melt easily. Instead switch to BB and CC creams, as these are light weight with moisturising properties and at the same time gives you medium coverage. Don't forget to set your makeup with compact powder or makeup fixing spray.

8. Do Not Apply Sunscreen Directly on the Skin

Always apply moisturiser before applying sunscreen. If applied directly it will go deep into the pores which is harmful for your skin. There should be a barrier between your skin and sunscreen. The only work of sunscreen is to protect your skin from harsh UVA and UVB rays, so applying moisturiser before is must.

9. Store Your Products In Refrigerator

Keep all your skin care and makeup products in refrigerator as the properties of the products may change when kept in high temperature or exposed to heat.

10. Keep Yourself Hydrated

Dehydration makes your skin dull and dry. Keep yourself hydrated for healthy looking glowing skin and to stay energised all day.
